MDU started at 3/66 on the second day, eyeing off back to back wins and chasing a modest Foster total. Paul Le Page (100) and Wayne Prosser (55) both picked up from where they’d left off on day one to put the Foster bowlers to the sword and take their team into the lead. On a day that saw temperatures soaring, Foster simply had no answer for Le Page and Prosser who put on 153 for the 4th wicket to take their side into the lead before both retired not out. With the points secure it provided a good chance for other players to have some time out in the middle and hone their match skills. It wasn’t through lack of trying though, with every Foster player (bar wicketkeeper) rolling their over at some stage including four bowlers from the Foster U15s who got a chance to test themselves against quality opposition.
Day 1: Foster 10/169 (54.3), MDU 3/66 (20)
Day 2: MDU 5/231 (58) def Foster 10/169 (54.3)
