The 2025 season got off to a great start for most of the Prom Coast clubs, with last year’s premiers, the MDU Demons, comfortably accounting for Newborough by 14 points, 68-54. The Dees’ Alahna Arnason top scored with 40. Stony Creek comprehensively took down Boolarra, 74-33, with the Lions’ Livinia Mandemaker giving her opponents an absolute clinic with 61 goals, rocketing her to the top of the league goal table. Toora versus Tarwin saw the Sharks go down to the Pies 53-40, Hannah Weston top scored for Toora with an impressive 39 goals. But it wasn’t such a happy start to the year for Fishy, who lost to Yinnar. The Y-Pies got their revenge for the one point semi-final loss last year, beating the Roos by three points in a very close fought match, 51-48. Yinnar’s Patty Mcinnes top scored with 30. Foster will play Newborough next week, after starting the season with the bye.
