The Foster U15s are through to the finals after a rain interrupted match against Leongatha Town/Koonwarra LRSL which resulted in a win for Foster. LK were 5-82 and Foster 2-166.
Pedlow opened for LK and made a tidy 33 runs before being caught by Gee at mid on. Lund and Botha also showed they were handy with the bat scoring 11 and 12 (not out) respectively. Johnston’s bowling was accurate on the stumps, claiming Aeschlimann in the 2nd over. Catches won the match for Foster with 4 being held by the fielders.
Foster’s batting was opened by the Harrison’s. The brothers set the momentum, with great running between the wickets and proper selection of stroke play. This was continued with Dyson’s 50 not out. And both Johnston and M Caldwell followed with good contributions with the bat.
Let’s hope the weather holds, enabling competitive finals clashes.
